Evening. While you’re bored and waiting for it to be time to head to work, you flip through the TV channels and can’t help but notice the breaking news. At first you’re not particularly interested, but suddenly something catches your attention. The curator of the museum where you work has been murdered — your longtime friend, Dr. Stewart! You’re immediately gripped by a nagging sense of dread that begins to rise in your chest. Could it be true?

The man you love and respect so much had been murdered!? The man from whom you’ve learned so much, with whom you’ve spent countless evenings in conversation during your night shifts. Out of the entire report, only a few things lodge themselves in your mind — murder… the museum’s head curator… — you’re not even listening anymore, just staring blankly at the screen.

For a moment a guilty thought creeps into your mind: that while you were sleeping peacefully on the couch in the living room, one of your closest friends was being killed and you couldn’t help him. You quickly chase away the guilt, and at that very moment your gaze falls on the phone. In all the tragedy you’d completely forgotten about it. Your attention is drawn to the blinking light for messages.

The feeling of dread instantly freezes you again — you have 4 missed calls from Dr. Stewart. All of them from about an hour and thirty minutes ago. “Maybe right before he was killed?” you think. The sadness is displaced by curiosity — why would Dr. Stewart have been trying to reach you just before that terrible moment? You notice there’s a message on the answering machine and eagerly play it. Your friend’s frightened voice comes through the receiver:

I’m calling you from home. I’m done for… I don’t have much time, so listen carefully.
The crystal… it’s all because of it — along with Dr. Stewart’s voice you hear loud pounding on the door and muffled shouting. I didn’t even manage to uncover the whole truth… I was almost at the end, but they got to me… I knew this would happen, I just thought I had more time… everything is in my office… you have to go there immediately. I never told you before, because it’s dangerous and I didn’t want to get you into trouble, but now I have no choice, and you’re the only one who can handle this!

Everything is well hidden behind a series of riddles that only you can solve — but you’ll manage it. I know you can. It’s all there!
Adrenaline roars in your head. Not a trace remains of the worry and the sorrow. In less than fifteen minutes you’re at the museum. You know, however, that you don’t have much time, since the doctor’s office is the next place the killers would go. You press the handle and the door opens — it’s unlocked. “The best hiding places are the easiest to reach,” Dr. Stewart used to say. YOU HAVE 60 MINUTES to find the crystal and get out of there!
